KSHB 41 Looks at How Green Lawn Remains Focused on Customers and Our Community
Change is a part of the lawn and landscape business. During one season, we’re building the perfect hardscaped patio and fire pit, and the next, we’re clearing snow so you can get your kids to school.
But what we don’t ever want to change are the values behind how we serve our customers. KSHB 41 recently visited Green Lawn to discuss rising fuel costs, how they affect our daily operations, and why we’re committed to giving back even when we’re feeling the economic impact ourselves.
Higher Costs Don’t Get Passed On To Green Lawn Customers
Fuel is an unavoidable expense for our team. That means that increases at the pump affect our business in meaningful ways.
Rather than responding to rising fuel costs by increasing prices, we’ve focused on building efficiencies into our operations. As Green Lawn President Craig Hawkins explained in his interview with KSHB 41, we optimize routes and look closely at our processes to ensure we’ve reduced unnecessary fuel use.
Our business has grown over the past 30+ years because of our responsible approach to operations and keeping the customer experience at the center of everything we do. No matter what challenge is ahead of us, our focus is on making homes and lawns look their best.
A Commitment to the Community Is a Commitment Worth Keeping
Higher operating costs at Green Lawn are no reason to stop serving our community. After all, if we only served when it was convenient for us, that wouldn’t quite match our values.
Through Shawnee’s Mow Squad program, we provide free lawn care to qualifying residents who need assistance maintaining their properties. Even as our own costs have increased, we’ve continued to help homeowners keep their properties looking clean, healthy, and cared for.
One Shawnee resident, Richard Milne, sent us a thank-you letter. Although the pleasure of helping him was all ours, we keep Richard’s note framed at the front of our office, where we can see it every day and remind ourselves of the impact we have on others.
30+ Years of Committed Customer Service, and We Don’t Plan on Stopping Now
Green Lawn has been a part of the larger Johnson County community since 1992. We owe it to our customers and neighbors who trusted us with their homes and allowed us to grow into the full-service company that we are today.
It is our responsibility to give back what we’ve been given. We know that business conditions will continue to change, but we’ll always find ways to adapt without losing sight of service, professionalism, quality, and our commitment to the community.
